Hamburg & West Seneca Ceremonies Mark Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Attack
New York State Senator William Stachowski attended ceremonies to remember the attack on Pearl Harbor on Monday, December 7, 2009, in Hamburg and in West Seneca.
Many Veterans groups from the across the area gathered at Hamburg Town Hall, and West Seneca American Legion Post 735.
The somber anniversary marked the 68th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, on that early Sunday morning in Hawaii.
Both ceremonies honored the servicemen and women who died during the surprise attack by the Japanese.
A twenty-one gun salute, prayers of remembrance and taps were part of both ceremonies.
Please keep our veterans and our soldiers currently serving, both at home and in Iraq and Afghanistan in your thoughts and prayers… |
