SENATOR STACHOWSKI TO HOLD “RALLY FOR WOODLAWN”

Rally for Woodlawn, a public rally held in response to Gov. Paterson’s proposed cuts targeting state parks, will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 11 am, at the Woodlawn Beach State Park.
Senator William (Bill) Stachowski, NYS Senator (58th Dist), Hamburg and Blasdell, is organizing the rally along with Senator Dale Volker, Assemblyman Jack Quinn and Assemblyman Mark Schroeder, to Save Our State Parks, and not close them to fix the budget deficit.
All park lovers are invited out to show their support of Woodlawn Beach, and other state parks around NYS.
The rally will extol the virtues of Woodlawn Beach and the great family recreation area it is. .
Woodlawn Beach State Park is on the list of parks being considered for closure by Governor Patterson. The popular lakefront park is located on the Hamburg / Blasdell border. The large beach, recreation area, nature preserve and hiking trails are all threatened by the proposed closing. |
