Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown’s Anti-Flipping Task Force released its third year report on January 16th and it shows a decrease in fraudulent flipping according to Co-Chairman Senator William Stachowski (D 58th).
“Since its inception, the Mayor’s Anti-Flipping Task Force has efficiently utilized the expertise of countless hard working and talented individuals who continue to better Buffalo and Western New York’s diverse neighborhoods,” said Stachowski. “We will continue our aggressive agenda that was first formulated three years ago and I look forward to continued success in 2009.”
“In its third year, the AFTF has made incredible strides to combat neighborhood issues such as foreclosure and flipping in the City of Buffalo,” said Mayor Byron Brown.
“This task force is successfully combating a destructive real estate practice by involving so many interested parties, including community residents and law enforcement partners, to identify and stop flippers who prey on Buffalo area properties and neighborhoods,” said Kathleen Lynch, Coordinator of the Task Force.
The AFTF was formed in May of 2005 by Mayor Brown, coordinated by Kathleen Lynch and co-chaired by Senator William Stachowski (D 58th) and Assemblymember Sam Hoyt.
